CMF redesign for Aerez, a phone-attachable face mist device. The starting version read as a pure engineering prototype, with no aesthetic intent or hierarchy of surfaces.

The spiral texture on the button collected bacteria and felt unresolved for a face-use product. Liquid level could only be checked by removing the device, the smooth back offered no grip for reliable phone-pocket insertion, and the object read as functional hardware rather than a considered everyday carry.

The reworked button is a flat, hygienic surface with a debossed brand logo. A frosted semi-transparent side panel lets the user read the liquid level at a glance. A rubber back with a micro-bump texture creates friction for a secure fit in the phone pocket. The warm neutral palette was selected through user surveys and translated into Pantone references for production hand-off.

CMF: matte textured plastic on the front face, frosted white semi-transparent plastic on the side, rubber with micro-bump texture on the back. Glossy finish is reserved for the button and top accent, creating a deliberate hierarchy between interactive and passive surfaces. All colors specified in Pantone for production.
